About Bianca

I am a New York native stage and film actor. I began my career early on as a dancer where I had the privilege of performing in the New York International Fringe Festival, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and at the Women’s World Cup Opening Ceremonies (with N*SYNC!) to highlight a few. Eventually I shifted my focus to acting where I received training from The William Esper Studio’s 2 year Meisner program and recently finished a year long apprenticeship with The Barrow Group. I'm have been a resident company member of the bi-coastal 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company and the Wise Fish Theater Collective. In addition I am also the co-creator and original co-host (through episode 79) of The Hamilcast: A Hamilton Podcast. I love dogs, baking, sci-fi/horror, 90's alternative, photography, trivia nights, discussing LOST theories, sports and movie theatres that still have good popcorn. I also pride myself on being one of the best parallel parkers you will ever meet. Seriously.

  • Praise for Strawberry Flavored Plastic
    Posted April 10, 2018

It was such a joy working on Strawberry Flavored Plastic, the first feature from Colin Bemis. As a lifelong horror fan it was thrilling to be part of a smart genre film with team of talented and kind actors and crew. I'm so thrilled to see the positive reviews, articles, and interviews that have been coming out. Here is a small sample of what the critics are saying: ----

“Colin Bemis has written the hell out of a story and has been kind enough to share it with the world! Another shoutout has to go to the brilliant Bianca Soto who comes in extremely strong as well.” Ron Trembath, Trainwreck’d Society

“It’s probably the scariest ending to a horror film that I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in the past few years.” Glenn Tolle, Rue Morgue

“Strawberry Flavored Plastic is the kind of low-budget horror movie that stays with you for a while. This amazing found-footage genre-bender is an impressive feature film debut from Colin Bemis.” Karina Adelgaard, Heaven of Horror

“Colin Bemis has made a profound statement on the nature of art, and the human condition, in the exceptional film he has made telling this story. You won’t be able to stop watching it.” Brian Skutle, Sonic Cinema

“Strawberry Flavored Plastic is a slice of indie goodness that fans of the subject matter need to see.” Adam Weber, AdamTheMovieGod

“Intriguing, fascinating, character-driven, entertaining… an elaborate collection of words which only begin to describe Strawberry Flavored Plastic. It provides plenty of commentary and talking points for many future debates.” Joe Bull, Flickfeast

“This is a film worth discovering, and just witnessing in how it takes the idea of “found footage” cinema, and adapts it into something different than what that has come to mean. One of my first real 2018 films, it’s easily going to remain one of the best.” Brian Skutle, Sonic Cinema

"A film such as this relies heavily on having a strong cast: Strawberry Flavored Plastic does not disappoint at all." Joe Bull, Flickfeast

  • Pastorale
    Posted September 10, 2016

We're back! The Wise Fish Theater Collective is really excited to present Pastorale by Deborah Eisenberg. This will be our second production as a company. Shows will be in November. Stay tuned for more info plus parties and events leading up to then. Director's note: "Children of the 80's grew up in a cocoon of science fiction and fantasy, vivid neon colors and catchy advertising. The 90's brought a darker, defiant energy, the explosion of grunge and hip-hop, grassroots activism went mainstream, and the greatest invention of our time - the internet - allowed us to connect with anyone across the globe instantly. We could define ourselves - reinvent ourselves - there was a sense of possibility, empowerment. Today, defiance has been replaced by apathy, and we are again locked inside our cocoons, paralyzed by the fear of making a misstep, of not presenting ourselves - or our "brand" - perfectly. Now what? What do I do next? Our planet is falling apart, violence and injustices flourish, greed and power are encouraged, celebrated. And we the people remain distracted. With Pastorale, our collective seeks to unearth and revive our ability to connect. What are the demons, the insecurities, the fears, we hide deep down inside so we can appear strong even though we're scared kids who want to feel loved? We may feel safe in our cocoons but we have to reach out and cooperate before it's too late." -- Franco Pedicini, Wise Fish Theater Collective
